Many of us have learned that there isn’t much room in the world for our raw emotions (e.g., fear, anger, sadness, joy, bliss). We may have learned to block them (i.e. shut down or not feel), or when it gets “too much” we may explode (i.e. attack). This workshop involves 2 main components: 1) Psychoeducation about what emotions are, and 2) experiential efforts to activate, identify/name, and effectively communicate what’s emotionally coming up for you. The workshop also taps into the art of listening and validation that creates a safe container for emotional expression.

When you hear the word ‘prohibition’, what do you think of? Do you picture the roaring 20’s and gangsters like Al Capone? Maybe you think of drugs other than alcohol like cocaine or heroin? Maybe you don’t think about illicit drugs and instead, you think of sex work or gambling. Whatever comes to mind, you probably know that various forms of prohibition are alive and well in our society. And if you’re like most people, you don’t think its working.
On this show, we interview activists, organizers, law enforcement, social workers, public health professionals, teachers, doctors, and elected officials in an effort to explore the impacts of prohibition. From opiates, to sex work, to plastic straws, to immigration, we will look unflinchingly at the policy outcomes of various forms of prohibition.

Music has been a part of my life from the very beginning. Being exposed to all styles of music as a child, from motown, to classic rock, to the early years of Hip Hop, my passion is for finding and sharing new, and different music. I started preforming when I was 4, playing the piano. I found electronic music in ‘95, and from the start fell in love with Jungle. Wanting to share my findings, the next logical step was to start DJing, and by ‘97 was playing at Plush, and The Infinity Soundstage, as well as other clubs around Baltimore. Since then, I’ve played from Va. To Pa., and won some contest along the way too. have a number of mixtapes, starting back when they were tapes, and still going to this day with his digital mixes.

While riding mopeds through busy Bali intersections, one half of this duo was intrigued by an Indonesian word that appeared on almost every street corner – “Warung.” Meaning “small family-run business,” it quickly became apparent how intrinsic these Warungs were to the culture: self made, the lifeline of the family, and an ever-lasting legacy to carry forth.
The concept of Warung couldn’t have been a better inspiration for their sound and project. These two decided to forego their solo projects and together cultivate something rich, from the ground up, with the intention of starting an organic music identity. The development continues, and with each groove constructed they push forward into a new space, learning to blend old with new. Two years later, Warung knows their way around the studio and is ready to bring more dance-floor-ready house to a thriving scene.

Mic once strolled down to a variety of music avenues, performing and playing in different pop/rock bands. But his exposure to artists such as Ferry Corsten, Moby, Above and Beyond, Deadmau5, Hardwell,DJ Icey, BT, The Chemical Brothers, Carl Cox and The Prodigy shifted his desire to embrace and make electronica, in which he now calls the genre ‘home’. Mic eventually became one of the active ‘mover and shaker’ in the thriving Manila electronic scene before moving to America. Soundcloud

A space made up of energy, that travels through the many fabrics of this multiuniverse. Moving through the different dimensions of all realities. Only to stop and appear in areas of dense love. The understanding that everything is always in constant motion will become crystal clear. All entities are invited, but to enter you must match the vibration of the entrance to the portal. Entering this place is the same as becoming one with the eons of beings that have passed through these astral walls. The energy is stored, never leaving. Only shaped and passed among whomever has entered. Unifying every being into one symbiotic consciousness. These souls stay and help create the necessary vibration in the form of sound, frequency, and vibration. Soundcloud
