Catharsis 2017 Final Call for Art, Sharing, and Collaboration!
October 2, 2017 – We are less than a month from “breaking ground” on Catharsis 2017, and if you haven’t already reached out to get involved and contribute, the time is now!!
For Catharsis on the Mall 2017, we invite everyone to bring art, collaboration, skill and story share, discussion, music, workshops, theme camps, spaces, healing modalities, and other contributions that explore our theme of “Nurturing the Heart”.
We intend to hold space and focus our support for D.C. local and regional contributors who are typically marginalized – women, queer, trans and femme folks, people of color, indigenous, people with disabilities, and others who face marginalization and oppression on a daily basis.
Fill out the appropriate form here to start the discussion, and we will be in touch shortly. Our soft deadline for all submissions is Sunday, October 15 – due to logistical constraints, submissions received after that time may not receive as much support or be included in our schedule and official map of the event. We will do our best to include everyone who wants to contribute.
For theme camps, physical art, installations, and anything else with a physical presence, please *carefully* review our permit and production guidelines here before submitting. Theme camps should start by emailing Ryan at <valorale at gmail dot com> and Joshua at <josh at joshcarroll dot xyz>.
Thank you!!!!! We look forward to collaborating with you and bringing your contribution to the National Mall!
Gratitude and solidarity,
Catharsis on the Mall crew
